Forestry Certificate - Grad 1988

What was your favorite memory while attending Portage College?

Meeting & learning with great people & playing hockey on the then AVC Men's hockey team. (Alberta Vocational College)

What was the colleges greatest impact on your personal and professional life?

Gaining employment with the Alberta Forest Service in the spring of 1988. (1988-2005) Then the BC Forest Service (2005-2017) Then Parks Canada up until the Spring of 2023. All the above in various wildfire management seasonal & permanent positions.

What are you up to now?

Seasonal Lead Park Ranger in the SW District with Alberta Parks (May of 2023 to current)

Lac La Biche was a great place to attend college & live.....I often return to Lac La Biche when ever I get the chance.
